why doesn't the 12 month warranty apply if you bought your Charge5 on Amazon???

Hello @L.Uveskog and welcome to the Community.  Amazon is a marketplace site.  Many things are sold by Amazon, but more than half of the stuff is sold by third party sellers.  An item must say that it is Shipped from and Sold by Amazon in the purchase details.
