Is the band for the Charge 5 a new one or will bands for the Charge 3 and 4 fit?

@allan473 This Fitbit Store shows Charge 5 bands in a separate section from the Charge 3/4 bands. Looks like it is a new band.

@allan473 Hi there. Thanks for your interest in Charge 5.
As described by @LZeeW, Charge 5 bands aren't compatible with other Fitbit devices. The bands for other Fitbit devices don't fit Charge 5.
See you around.

I get the impression that there is no reason for the older bands to not fit on the newer Fitbits except to maximize profits.
The plug in knob band on the Charge 5 resembles the original Fitbit, which, was lost in some unknown parking lot when the band failed.

@Bouchonne Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about the wristbands.
If possible, I recommend that you post the idea to have interchangeable wristbands in the Feature Suggestion board of the Community. This is always useful for the team of developers to continue to track popularity and demand over time.
Have a great day.

My original Fitbit Charge bands failed badly and often. The Charge 3 bands did better, but still failed.
The standard black silicone band on the 5 hasn't been very comfortable, especially when wet, and I'll probably replace it, but so far I'm happy with it and the fasteners seem much more solid.
I bought the 5 for two reasons - the display had become hopelessly dim during one of the software upgrades, and Fitbit refused to acknowledge or fix the problem, so basically I could wear it as a fitness tracker but not use it as a watch except in total darkness with my reading glasses on, so when the band fasteners failed again and I had a discount coupon from a wellness program at work, so it was time to just upgrade. Like it so far.

Hi, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and comments about the product, @billstewart.
It's good to know that you like your Charge 5 device so far; the team continues to work to improve the quality of products and services. As you mentioned earlier, the display of the Charge 5 has a color AMOLED touchscreen, which is two times brighter than the Fitbit Charge 4's screen.
Have a great day.
