I had bought 7 fitbits over the years. The Charge 5, only lasted 13 months. contacted support and their answers is to buy another one with a coupon of 35%off towards the purchase of a new one. So instead of issuing a new one they want me to buy another paper weight. I am done with this company. DO NOT BUY, they will only last about a year.

My fitbit 5 is going in the bin .I will never buy another and would not recommend.

Agreed.  Mine died after I did a prescribed update.  And their solution is to buy a new one.  Nope.  Not going to do it.

The Fitbit Charge 5 is the worst one ever. I could put up with them only lasting about 1 1/2 years but the Charge 5 has problems all the time.

Please, if you feel like you won't buy one, go to Amazon.com and Walmart.com and do a review on the sites.  Let people know about this problem.

I had the same problem. I contacted customer service and they are sending a replacement. Finger's crossed
