Workout display on dimmer than selected lightness Charge 5

I select display on when recording a workout with settings/display/lightness sets on normal.

Although the screen remains lit during the workout, it's so dim that I cannot read it in outdoor light.

How do I get  "workout display on" to remain on the selected lightness level, i.e normal?

Hi, thank you for your inquiry regarding the Always On display feature on the Charge 5, @domidodo.  

Let me know if you're only experiencing this behavior when your use this feature or if it's happening with regular use of the watch. I've tested this on my Charge 5 and noticed that the screen is bit dimmer when you turn this feature on, this prevents the battery from draining too fast on your device. 

I would recommend that you post this idea about keeping a brighter screen with this feature in the Feature Suggestion board of the Community, since this section is regularly monitored by the team of developers. Make sure to post your idea including as many details as possible.
