I purchased the charge 5 last November.  I learned the hard way that me of the battery claims are true. Even with many of the features disengaged I could not get my charge 5 to last more than 1 day.  In June my charge 5 basically died.  I can get 45 minutes of use after charging to 100% from looking through all of the comments and questions here I see that many people are experiencing similar issues.  Why release a device that is so clearly not ready for prime time?  Any suggestions for support, or do I just give up?

@Onarta I was actually thinking about coming back to Fitbit and getting a Charge 5 but I am reading that it has a lot of issues! NOT GOOD! Might just stick to my Apple Watch!

Proceed with caution!!!  I like the Fitbit app interface, metrics, and content (although you go through the free content pretty quickly).  I would monitor the firmware upgrade and see if it is ever released and if it improves battery life.  If it doesn’t help there is one brand utilizing new battery technology so maybe there is hope on the horizon.
