**ahem** Charge 5 won't connect to phone off-grid

Went to play in the mountains where there is no cell service and discovered that the Charge 5 trackers won't sync to the app even though it's connected via Bluetooth.

I can't find any mention of that in the sales info. Think I've been ripped-off!

Imagine, a fitness tracker only for city folks! Well I guess they need it more than us outdoors type.

@lwerman   I agree with you that this requirement isn't prominent on the Charge 5 page in the Fitbit store.  But it is listed in the full features and specs.  If you scroll down to the pink Full features & specs, this is in the Specs section: Syncing requires Bluetooth LE, an internet connection and location permissions granted on the phone.  Your data is transferred using Bluetooth, but syncs to your account.  All Fitbit models sync this way.
