can't clear the red circle with white x inside

Battery on my Charge 5 doesn't last 24 hours anymore.  After each charge, it may or may not (mostly NOT) sync with my Android phone.  At some point within the 24 hours, it apparently attempts to update but fails - I understand that is what the red circle with the white x inside means. That symbol will NOT clear from the screen which then kills the battery.  I've tried (1) using the reset button on the charger (press 3 times, 1 second between each) (nope).  (2) sync from the app (nope). (3) uninstall the app and reinstall (nope)

How can I clear this symbol?

Hi, @joggergin , in your app do you still have the pink update arrow?  If so, plug the Charge 5 in again, give it a couple of hours charge and then, while it is still plugged in near your phone please try the update again.

You could also try re-setting up your Charge 5.  On your app go to the account screen (person icon/photo top left) and scroll down to “+ set up a device”.  Choose Charge 5 from the drop down menu.  You will get a message that you already have a Charge 5 on your account, do you want to replace it?  Confirm that you do and follow the instructions from there.

If you continue to have this issue please get in touch with Fitbit Customer Support on Contact.fitbit.com .  Be sure to tell them all the troubleshooting steps you have already tried, as that will save time.
