connecting to bluetooth on new phone

I just got a new phone [Iphone SE] and cannot get my Charge 5 to be discovered and connect to bluetooth: how do I make my device discoverable so it can pair with my new phone?

Do you still have your old phone? If so, make sure that it doesn't have a bluetooth connection to the fitbit that could be blocking connection to your new phone.

old phone is dead, won't even turn on;

also- I had another device that was paired with my old phone that I was able to pair to the new phone, but I had to make it "discoverable." 
can't find any directions for how to make a Fitbit Charge 5 "discoverable" to this new phone?
