daily steps counted are not reflected in my weeks activity history

I have been walking daily, exceeding my step goal of 10,000 steps per day (except 1of 7 of the days) **YET** "activity history" shows that I have only "exercised" 3 of 7 days - What in the world might I have selected while setting up that is doing this to my log accuracy?

Sunday 15K

Monday 11K

Tuesday 12K

Wednesday 12K

Thursday 5K (the only day that was under 10K)

Friday 16K

Please see my log with conflicting information

Hello @moonchilln

Great job on getting at least 10K steps for almost the whole week.

About your question, Fitbits will auto-track a walk as an exercise/activity when your device senses that you've been walking continuously for at least 15 minutes, the default time auto-track time length. On the days that you didn't get an exercised tracked, that would seem to indicate that your walking sessions were less than 15 minutes.

You can reduce the tracking time to 10 minutes (the minimum) through the Fitbit app. For instructions on how to do this, see "Can I change how my activities are tracked" in Fitbit help article: How do I track my activity with my Fitbit? (<-- click link).

Thank you for your reply. I really appreciate it.

Your suggestion makes sense. A couple of the walks last week were my beach walks and I know that I was collecting sea glass, and also trash from the beach, so I was stopping and picking up things. So, even though I walked a couple miles maybe it was not considered exercise because of all the stopping.
