I have bought a Charge 5 today. I succesfully connected the device to my iPhone and updated the watch to the latest software.
However, the app kept showing I did not have the most recent watch software, which I found very strange since I just updated it succesfully. So whatever, I put it on my wrist for the first time and scrolled briefly through the features. I noticed it did not measure my heart rate. So what I did next is someting I regret…
I deleted the watch from my Fitbit app and tried to reconnect it, no luck.
Tried to turn Bluetooth on and off, no luck.
Tried to reset Fitbit, no luck
Tried to delete my Fitbit account, no luck.
Tried to turn my phone on and off, no luck.
Tried to forget and remove the device in my Bluetooth settings, no luck.
Reading all possible solutions in this community, no luck.
As you may noticed (sarcasm), nothing worked.
I’ve been trying for hours and I’m about to throw it away out of frustration.
Starting to regret not buying the Apple Watch!

Hi, welcome to the Fitbit Community forums, @dennisvc.
Thank you for sharing all these details about the inconvenience you've been having with your Charge 5 and for confirming that you already tried a few troubleshooting steps.
This could be related to the problem you mentioned with the firmware at the beginning. I've been informed that you already contacted the Customer Support team for further assistance with this. In this case, they will let you know how to proceed.
Have a good day.
