i bought my wife and i one each.
my wifes has stopped working. ive tried to reboot it, no sign of life. its 3 months old
prior to that it collected false time data, wrong time of sleep etc
Mine doesnt collect data about stairs. Apparently ive not climbed any stairs since purchase despite living in a first floor, no lift apartment

wifes charge cable broken, used mine its now charging

@Salvador1 I'm glad you got your wife's Charge 5 working. If you believe that her charging cable was defective, you may want to contact Customer Support to discuss your warrantee options.
The Charge 5 does not contain an altimeter. That is the piece of hardware needed to detect stairs. This means that the Charge 5 cannot count flights of stairs and it will never be able to do that.
