my Fitbit charge 5 turns off at random throughout the day i then cannot use it until i connect it to the charger even though it is fully charged any solution would be greatly appreciated

That's certainly not normal for a Charge 5. Have you tried restarting from the charger? Plug it in and then press the button at the USB end 3 times until the logo appears? Sometimes that can fix problems...
Here's a picture of the button, just in case.
It's also worth checking that your Charge 5's firmware is up to date. It should be on 20001.149.11 and the App should be 3.55.
