none of the instructions match what I'm seeing for changing the time to 24 hour

There's documentation that says that I'm supposed to see a gear icon and then go to advanced settings and change the time to 24 hour. There is nothing like that in my display. Is the documentation old or something? What am I missing?

Hi @thegorf  is this the article?  Try going to the website. Log in and go to your dashboard. Under Personal Information, scroll down to Advanced settings and you'll see "Clock Display Time" where you can change it. Be sure to click "submit" to save and sync. See if that gets it the way you want it.

LOL website? For a mobile app. That seems super well thought through. But at any rate I did go to the website. I'm still not seeing the gear icon. But it's not a mobile interface so it's hard to see the whole screen on my phone. I've just got Dash board, Log, Community, and Store at the top and then a bunch of empty graphs and stuff.

Oh wait, there is a square icon. But all it does is so a link for the week's activities and to add stuff to the page.

Hello @thegorf

From the main screen of the Dashboard on Fitbit.com, there's a cog icon at the top right.  I've drawn a bad circle around it on this screenshot.  If you're looking on your phone you'll have to scroll across quite a bit.

Tap that, then choose Settings from the menu.  Then scroll down to Clock Display time and change to 24 hour.  Save and sync your Charge 5.

I hope that helps a bit.

Holy crap. I'm an idiot. Okay. I totally see it now. Thank you. And I got it updated and it seems to work.
