unresponsive screen in Charge 5, not fixed by reseting

The screen in my charge 5 in unresponsive. It does not respond to the touch in anyway 
- resetting while charging does not fix the issue
- Syncing and changing the face does not fix the issue.

I see many people with the same issue. What is the solution?

My Fitbit 5 died, wont charge...won't reset....contact points look to have worn away....maybe from "acid sweat"..

I have had the same issues, tried the same fixes but none worked.  It has been charged, it's been synced, and seems to keep steps but I can only tell by the app on my phone, the fitbit screen itself still remains blank.....very frustrating!
