will Charge 5 still provide activity zone updates and GPS tracking? if i leave smartphone in car, while i'm on a run outdoors or in the gym? TIA

@maynoC Yes, and with some caveats. Your smartphone is only needed to sync your watch data to the fitbit servers, and if you wish to use the phone's GPS.

In your tracker settings on fitbit.com, you can select which exercise shortcuts appear on your tracker, and which (limited) exercises will use GPS (walk, run, bike). You can manually start an exercise from your tracker, or the settings will determine which exercises are auto-recognized.

If you have alerts for the zones (fat burn, cardio & peak) turned on, yes, the tracker will vibrate when you change zones (without your phone).
