After tapping "Done" on an exercise while connected via BT to bike, device goes back to "Start"

ANSWERED

I track my Spinning exercises on my NordicTrack bike, broadcasting HR from my Charge 6 to the bike via Bluetooth. After finishing the workout, I pause and end the workout on the C6, which gives me the BT disconnect message, then goes to the workout summary screen (the one that shows zone minutes, cals burned and so on). So far, so good.

But after scrolling down and tapping 'Done' there, it goes back to a Start screen as if I had just connected the C6 to the bike to start a workout. I have to scroll down to get to a 'Cancel' button to get back to the home screen. It should go back to the home screen after tapping 'Done'.

This has been going on for a while now, but I'm just now getting around to posting about it on here. I'm on the 202.94 firmware. This seems like a bug.

This doesn't happen if I don't connect to the bike via BT, nor with other exercise types.

Hello @mikey_pdx

You should be able to report your issue using the Feedback option in the Fitbit app:

  • Tap on your picture/icon (Android) / gear icon (iOS) in the upper right of the Fitbit app
  • Select Feedback and complete the information

Although you won't receive a response, I understand that the team receives and reviews the feedback reports.

@RiekoC thanks. Hopefully that'll get looked at.

BTW - you might have the iOS/Android mixed up there - I'm on iOS and tapping my picture icon brought up the menu with Send feedback at the bottom. Maybe they both work that way now, I dunno.

Hi @mikey_pdx

Thanks for letting me know about the iOS Fitbit app. 👍

Based on iOS user responses, I was informed there was a gear icon where Android users see their picture/avatar. It makes it easier if everyone sees their picture/icon.

@RiekoC I think maybe the difference is whether or not they converted/migrated their account to Google. I'm having a hazy recollection that there was a gear icon there before I made the switch.

Hi @mikey_pdx

That very likely the case. I believe the iOS users who mentioned they had a gear icon in the upper right of the Today page were still using Fitbit accounts & hadn't migrated to a Google account.

Thanks again for your help.
