When charging, the date format is in US date format (mm/dd).
My phone is AU format (dd/mm), but it looks like the Fitbit charge 6 ignores that. Not really a surprise, but has anyone else noticed that, or found a way to change it?
Moderator edit: Subject for clarity.

@RiekoC Thanks for your input.
@BJReplay Thanks for your post about the date on the charging screen. There is no direct setting to change that format. Have you tried it with a different clock face? I know it seems like a generic display for when it is charging, but it is worth a try.
I do believe it is important to have the date in the desired format. I suggest you post your comments as a suggested idea. The best place to make your voice heard is the "Product Feedback" board, where you can submit your ideas and share it with other members. The suggestions with more votes are taken into consideration by our developers for new updates or product development. Thanks in advance!

@RodrigoMFitbit how do you change the clock face used when charging?

The Fitbit team ignored all requests for any non-freedom date format for the Charge 5 throughout its entire product lifespan. If you are not in the USA you are outside of their target audience.

I’m having this problem too - I’m in Scotland & find US date format confusing - & irritating!
Thanks Rodrigo, but this is EXTREMELY disappointing - & frustrating! There was no problem with my Charge 3, but my nice, shiny new Ch 6 persists in confusing me as to what date it is! Please can the team develop a way to allow this format change? There are many Anglophones around the world (e.g. UK(England, Scotland, Wales) - I think we even invented the language🤔, Ireland, ?NZ?, Aus) who use the dd/mm/yy format - not everyone who matters lives in the US!

@DateMonthYear @LizanneT Welcome to the forums. Thanks for your posts about the date format.
I am guessing, that regardless of the clock face installed, the date format when it is charging does not match the one selected in the settings. There is no specific setting to change the date shown when the device is charging. Have you tried a different clock face?
I also recommend you post your comments in the "Product Feedback" board, where you can submit your ideas and share it with other members. The suggestions with more votes are taken into consideration by our developers for new updates or product development. The team in charge is constantly checking these suggestions. Thanks in advance!
