Any way to put activity stuff back into the background?

I have a Charge 6. One of the things I like about it is that it catches stuff I am doing (mostly bike rides) without me having to fiddle with it. Since the last update, instead of running in the background, it now shows the activity on the watch. Don't really like that, as it makes it a touch harder for me to see what time it is, which is what I mostly do when I am out. And then, after I have gotten to wherever I am going and glance to see the time, I have to tap it a few times to tell it that, yes, I have ended the activity. All of this used to be done in the background. Is there any way to get back to that?

Hi, @dajana1 , it sounds like you have your Charge 6 set to autostart several activities (that’s the default setting).  Autostart automatically launches the Exercise App on your Charge 6.  When the exercise app is active there are 3 stats displayed, the top and bottom stats are in small print and cannot be changed.  The top stat is always the time, so if you have excellent eyesight you should always be able to see what time it is even when the exercise app is running.  However if you are like many others, you may not be able to read that tiny print.

The good news is that the middle, main stat is customizable and one of the options is the time.  My experience is that that is large enough to be easily read. Once you select that middle to be the time (when the exercise app is launched just swipe left until you come to the time setting) it will always be the time unless you change it.

So even when your Fitbit has automatically launched an activity you should still easily see the time, just by lifting your wrist.

(If that doesn’t work for you then there is another option involving disabling auto launch of the exercise app, so please post again if you need further help.)
