Anybody NOT have issues with the Charge 6?

I ordered a Charge 6 despite reading that people have an issue with it crashing and requiring hard resets, etc. Well, it also happened to me. After it happened multiple times the first week, I’m getting a replacement and returning the defective one.

Is anybody actually happy with the 6??? (I have heart issues and want the ECG without too many bells and whistles, which is why I keep going with these).

I’m just about done with Fitbit after almost ten years. Most recently, my Charge 5 suddenly died for good, so I went back to use my original Versa which was totally normal for two days then also suddenly died.

I'm sorry you're having problems with your C6 Jogger as I'm quite happy with mine - well you did ask.  Hopefully, the replacement will behave itself.

@g12erald.  I do apologise for calling you 'jogger,'  I'm a newbie poster here and misread your username.

Only issue I've had with the device itself is using my 3rd-party cloth elastic bands, but once I figured out the little trick, it's not a big deal. Everything so far works great, and it even connects up to my NordicTrack bike to show my heart rate on the bike's screen. GPS connects well and quickly, battery life is good.

Only real complaint is the app. There's a whole other forum full of that. LOL

Nothing but problems since I got the new charge 6. Have to reset it several times a day to get notifications to come through. Doesn’t recognize when I go up stairs, the app is always freezing and crashing. I complained often but just kept getting told to reset it whenever it acts up. So I just put up with it not working perfectly but working good enough.

Occasionally notifications don't appear when they should, otherwise my Charge 6 is behaving itself.  I only need to restart when the app and tracker won't sync.  There's no altimeter in the Charge 6 so you won't be able to log your stairs.

MsJenn28 the Charge 6 won't ever recognise going up stairs as it doesn't have an altimeter installed so is unable to recognise stair climbing. Its not a fault with the actual FitBit just simply missing the  require stuff to do it.

Same as many below. Not 100% relatable for sleeping or some heart rate data

notifications dont always work

keep getting “not all app updates have been successful”

can’t Amend my workouts ie change from workout to Tabitha on the app

as well as having to get an replacement after 2weeks as screen had lines across it

My partner and I use the charge 6 and neither of us have encountered a single problem with them. The battery lasts more than 1 week, going on the charger every 7 days at around 20%, step, HR, and sleep tracking are all very good, the interface works fine and exercise modes more than cater for our needs.

The only two limitations we have are already known. Our bank card isn't compatible with the Fitbit version of Google wallet, and there is no floor count.

Other than that, we have 2 charge 6 devices, no issues.

Further to my previous post, I spent a good few hours trying to fix the issues mentioned.  This is a tale of two phones.

I have two devices I use regularly, one with a SIM and one without. Both are up to date in all respects.

P1 is the phone on which I've been unable to use the YouTube Music app and it's always worked perfectly on P.2.

I disconnected P2 from the app entirely and left it in the 'next room.'

I checked all the settings on P1 to ensure they were all correct - they were but I still got the message to 'complete setup' etc.

After a while I tapped the app again and it began to buffer.

Then it began to play - on P2!

I then powered P2 off.

YouTube Music began to play on P1 and has been working flawlessly since then.  Fingers Crossed.

I hope the foregoing is of use to someone out there.

Yeah, me too, I just put up with it. I dont like the find my phone
features. I read a lot off my phone and sometimes lose it in my bed
blankets. Find my phone tells me where it is without having to get up and
toss everything around in the search. What's cute is when it says it can't
find it and to get closer. That sort of misses the point.

I just learned it doesn't have an altimeter, so it can't track stairs or elevation gain. It's actually what brought me to the forums. I'm so mad.

Same is happening here. It was synchronising ok at the beginning of the year but then it started getting bad, especially since I tried installing new apps. Google wallet never worked despite trying different approaches.
Notifications don’t appear unless I manually go in. Every now and then a notification would come up.
I do not recommend this watch at all!

I've not had any issues, not sure how long I've had mine for, 12 months?

The only issues I have are turning off some vibration alerts that I do not want, I can't find anyway to turn them off anywhere

The 1st one I had worked for 6 months. Just got a warrant replacement yesterday. Less than 24 hours later the screen is now black with intermittent flashing lines. Maybe it's time to look elsewhere.

It happend now 3 Times within a Week that i have to reset my charge 6 because it lost bluetooth connection to my Smartphone. And it wasent shown in the List for Devices. I tryey with different Smartphones (IOS and Android) . it worked only after a reset. So i lost all my Progress! For me it is very importend to controll my Sleeping because of Apnoe. I have the charge 6 now for a Week. If this happen again i go to the store and get my money back! And buy another Brabd what is working more stable ( and for less Money)!

I got mine at Christmas,  first one lasted until early April, blank screen. The replacement didn't last a month, not updating, wrong time, 140 mins behind the actual time. I'm awaiting yet another replacement.  Frustrated. I have an expensive step tracker which doesn't talk to the app.

Yes.  Today is 6/5.  Since last week, watch syncing was deplorable and I was not getting text notifications unless I re-synced, and that process was taking 3-5 minutes per re-sync.  Then, last nite, it was at 7% battery life, and the screen remained off when I motioned by wrist to look at the watch face. I docked it for charging and the screen remained off. It's still off after being connected for 2 hours so I consider it D.E.A.D. Followed instructions to use a different outlet socket with the FitBit charing cable, cleaned the watch and cable properly.  Still no change.  I used the Inspire 2 for over two years.  Have had Charge 6 since mid-January and it no longer functioning. 5 months of use. I'm disappointed.  Good thing is Fitbit is sending me a replacement.  I hope it better built than the now defunct one but now reading this forum, seems like a faulty batch/ version of the device. 😩

I got a mine a month ago sleep data in the watch is buggy normally does not show. The band falls off sometimes nearly lost it yesterday. The GPS is very poor best switch off. Notifications are not that solid. The sleep tracker is very good and it looks good. I think its over priced I paid 140 but to be fare has gone down to 120     2 days ago. My last tracker a Huawei was still going strong after 4 years there was never any connection or syncing problems with the Huawei and it only cost 30. With the bugginess reputation for failure and the strap I would be rather doubtful the charge 6 will still be going strong in 4 years. I do like the sleep tracker and I have got used to the look and feel, I do quite like it, but they are possibly a bit of a lemon

Just following up. Both charge 6 devices in this house working exactly as they were, not so much as skipping a beat.

It's probably worth noting that most people who experience no problems will not be visiting a forum that's dedicated almost entirely to reporting or finding solutions to problems.

I purchased the charge 6 in 11/23. Within a month, screen went completely blank. Within 3 months, the replacement went completely blank. Now the third replacement completely blank. I have a warranty but can't use it to replace since I did not break it. I just want my money back. They deny there is any problem.
