Anybody NOT have issues with the Charge 6?

I ordered a Charge 6 despite reading that people have an issue with it crashing and requiring hard resets, etc. Well, it also happened to me. After it happened multiple times the first week, I’m getting a replacement and returning the defective one.

Is anybody actually happy with the 6??? (I have heart issues and want the ECG without too many bells and whistles, which is why I keep going with these).

I’m just about done with Fitbit after almost ten years. Most recently, my Charge 5 suddenly died for good, so I went back to use my original Versa which was totally normal for two days then also suddenly died.

I have had occasional "bugs" when this or that would not work properly but they were eventually addressed by updates. Apart that, there is one huge issue with Charge 6 which is the GPS feature that really diminishes its value. It is basically useless for I would say most of real life scenarios and I fail to see why they even bothered including it since it only increased the price and in the end you are forced to use the phone's GPS anyway if you want to end up with at last approximately accurate results. I also don't see the point of dynamic mode since the reason of having a built-in GPS tracking is exactly to be able to leave the phone behind. The most recent update was supposed to kind of address this issue but I could not notice any significant difference. It is still a kind of hit and miss. Some days you get close to decent results and on some other days the GPS tracking is all over the place making no sense whatsoever. Xiaomi Band 8 pro costing almost 3 times less has a better GPS tracking.

I'm surprised to read Fitbit isn't logging your exercise as that's a key feature of an exercise tracker.  Very occasionally I have to wait a while before my oxygen stats show up but otherwise my experience has been stellar with the Charge 6.  I do a bit of housekeeping once in a while both with the app and the watch that seems to keep everything ticking over nicely.

I can’t believe how many problem have responded to this and the main thing is being able to amend exercise types on the watch or to be able to amend the exercise through the app.

My 6months fee premium has come to an end and I haven’t renewed as I don’t feel it’s worth it,

Yes, exactly; I keep trying Fitbit (it's smaller and doesn't have all the
bells and whistles that an apple watch does and that's what I want) but I
have to literally reboot my phone, turn bluetooth off and on again multiple
times a day to get it to pick up the sync for exercise AND steps!!! Very
disappointed, this will be my last FB.

Fortunately, I still have time to return mine and get a refund (minus open
box fee).

When you are exercising your cell phone needs to be within 30’ of your Fitbit in order for it to sync. I read that. I don’t have experience with it so no idea if it syncs in more or less distance or if it syncs consistently

I’m having the same problems with mine all of a sudden. It just shuts off and I have to power it back on. Battery is good. Did you find a fix ?

Thanks — my phone is always within reach. There seems to be an issue with the app and some users.

Fitbit Support promises they are working day and night to fix the issue. (I hope so.)

They agreed to replace?

the prob seems to be with the app not the Fitbit itself

I believe this is probably true; when each user can toggle options on & off it creates a lot of different conditions that are independently intermittent. If one option is changed it may create a problem that didn’t exist before. And while computers are supposed to be able to solve problems, maybe someone moved a little too fast putting the final touches in the app before marketing it. Where are you Young Sheldon, we have a problem that needs fine tuned

With the exception of the odd glitch that seems to be more app-related, I have no complaints with my Charge 6 at all.

That’s correct — It’s the app.

It has been awhile since my last communication with the community. Please allow me to use your comment as a jumping off point.

In November of 2023 I was going to purchase another brand. I have become so disenchanted with Fitbit and Google. I have been working my heart out this morning perspiration dropping off my nose and have only burned 200 calories. I have been doing circuit training rotation bike resistance 5 at 60rpm , weights, steps, treadmill at 10% incline 3,5 mph. My bike and treadmill both say I am burning way more calories than this stupid Fitbit charge 6. I have complained for the past 2 years and the performance of Fitbit has only gotten worse!

Thank you for letting me jump in on your frustration.

This thread really needs a title change. I still have had no issues with the Charge 6 that, to date, has been a joy.

Your answer is exactly right. It’s asking for people who do NOT have issues; you don’t have issues & I don’t have issues. Is thread titled differently further back? I only see asking for No Issues responses

No @Grannymom, the thread was for those not having problems but one poster was really annoyed with me for posting all was fine with my Charge 6.  I was accused of being a Googler. 😄

Being happy with the Charge 6 is not permitted apparently. 😏

Like the OP, I have heart issues and I use it for HR, steps, and the occasional ECG. They don't require the app so I uninstalled it (and consequently my blood pressure has gone down)!
