Ballet gone as log exercise option

I regularly attend ballet classes and manually log them as exercise afterwards to see my stats. I logged a ballet class as recently as Tuesday 9/30 with no issues by typing "bal" in the exercise title and selecting "Ballet" from the results dropdown.

Went to do this today, and "ballet" no longer pops up? "Ba" gives me the options of "Badminton", "Barre class" (a previous search I also use), and "Basketball". "Bal" gives no results at all. If I go to a previous "Ballet" entry to see if it can be duplicated somehow, clicking on "Edit exercise" changes the exercise title to "Walk"(!).

What the heck FitBit? Are y'all trying to say ballet isn't exercise? My 115 Active Minutes would like to have a word with you. Bring the option back!!!

Same with pickleball, which I play regularly but which I can no longer choose as an activity to log. Again, what the heck Fitbit/Google?! Please bring this option back!

ALSO, If my Fitbit auto-recognises an activity it almost never recognises it as pickleball or badminton, both of which I play regularly, and often doesn’t even recognise it as ‘sport’. I used to be able to correct the duration of autorecognised activity, which is nearly always otherwise very inaccurate, and also correct it to label the type of activity correctly. Now ability to correct the type of activity has been taken away. Again, what the heck? Please bring this back!

Editing activities has been broken for a while; when I manually begin a swim workout, it ALWAYS gets the distance wrong. I used to be able to edit it after the fact, but that stopped working months ago. Deeply frustrating.

Hello @msomf , @NewbieNov22

As you've both noticed, the ability to edit completed workout or add them manually with the correct activity name hasn't been working correctly for awhile. Although the team has been aware of the issue, we haven't seen any updates on the fix. It's been very frustrating for us all.

For now, you can submit the issue using the Feedback option in the Fitbit app:

  • Tap your picture in the upper right of the Today page in the Fitbit app
  • Tap Feedback in the menu that opens
  • Complete the prompts and submit

The feedback reports are received by the team for review.

Just to let you know, the workouts that are auto-recognized don't include pickleball or badminton. This help page (<-- click) has the list of activities that are auto-recognized by the Charge 6. It would be better for you to manually select the activity and manually start/stop the activity session.
