Ever since the latest big update, my Charge 6 has some new, frustrating battery issues.
It seems like the battery charge level is completely broken. The Fitbit will die, I will plug it in, it will say 45%. I will sync from the app, it will go down to 25%, I will restart it, it will say 68%, etc. Therefore, it never fully charges and keeps dying in the middle of exercise.
I have been committed to Fitbit since 2017 through all the ups and downs. I do not want a smart watch. But I can't fork out $150 year after year for a device that fails to work as advertised.
Has anyone been able to solve this problem? I feel like it's a firmware issue and therefore I am powerless to fix it.

Hi, @Jules831 , how old is your Charge 6? Fitbits can go on for years - I have a Charge 2 that is still functioning…. However, how long rechargeable batteries last depends very much on how they are cared for, especially when you are talking about the very small batteries supplied with wearable devices. A battery that is regularly allowed to discharge deeply will not last nearly as often as a battery that is kept regularly topped up. Little and often recharge is the best way of getting the longest overall life out of your Fitbit.
In your case I would in the first instance make sure that you give the charging points on your Fitbit, and the charger, a good clean following this advice:
(Do the same with the points on the charger)
Also, have a look at this help article: Why isn’t my Fitbit battery charging .
I would also always recommend giving your Fitbit a restart as that will shut down any background activities causing unusual battery drain.
Moving forward, however, I would definitely recommend charging your Fitbit daily for maximum overall life. This can be as little as 15 minutes while you are showering in the morning and getting ready for your day, or an hour or more in the evening while you are relaxing with a book, the internet or the television. Your Fitbit will thank you for it and last a lot longer!
Good luck and let us know how it goes?

OK, thanks @ClaudiaMFitbit and @Julia_G. I appreciate the attempt. I will try to contact support, as the things you both mentioned have nothing to do with the issue that I described.

I have a Versa 4 and am having similar issues since the update too, but also can't seem to get a proper answer from anyone regarding issues starting literally since I updated.
