Black screen and no notifications/vibrations but is tracking steps

When I went to charge my Fitbit today - the usual battery image did not appear.  I removed my Fitbit from the charger and the screen remained black.  The green light flashes on the backside of the Fitbit and it is tracking my steps per my phone’s Fitbit app.  I tried connecting to the charger and pressing the button on the side 3 times with pauses in between but that didn’t do anything.  Is there anything else I can try?

Hello @HollyM

Based on the information you provided, I suspect the charging block or the charging cable could be the culprit.

Have you had a chance to try a different charging block? If you have and it still didn't work, then the charging cable might be defective. Although you can get third party charging cables that will work, the official Fitbit charging cable has the button for resetting the Charge 6.

Thank you for the suggestion but actually - it is charging.  It actually does everything OTHER than - blank screen and no vibration.  When I check the app on my phone - it is actually tracking everything.  But as I also use it as a watch and a vibrating alarm - it is a problem that it wont do either.  I just bought this Fitbit in July 2024 so very disappointed.

Hello @HollyM

Sorry, I misread your post. Thanks for letting us know that your Charge 6 is charging.

I saw on another thread that you're going to try troubleshooting steps that another user suggested. If that troubleshooting doesn't work, you should contact Support (<-- click link). Complete the prompts until you get the option to chat or call.

The support agent should be able to help determine if your device is defective. If they determine that it is defective, they should let you know what are your options under warranty.

Same issue here. And I got this one as a replacement for one that started doing the same.thing last year. 🫤

Oddly it just started working again before I could let the battery get down to 0%...
