Blood pressure

ANSWERED
  • I have a smart BP cuff. Why can't I connect and trend my BP? Even if there was just a place where I could manually enter it like the way you can for calories. I I have asked Fitbit but have not gotten a reply yet. I feel like my tracker is only for healthy people who want to lose some weight. I was hoping that I could use it to help manage my coronary disease but I guess not

Hello @Mdrambeau and welcome to the Community.  Like you, I don't understand why Fitbit hasn't added blood pressure to health items we can track.  The best way to give feedback to Fitbit is through the Product Feedback forum.  Please vote for and leave a comment on this request.  This forum is monitored by the developers.

Here is my tip. There is an app by Google called Google Fit and it has an option to manually adding blood pressure results. You can also connect Google Fit with Fitbit app using the Google Health Connect app. Meaning that most of the information from the Fitbit app will be synced to Google fit.

All you need to do is download and install Health Connect app and then connect both apps with it. To do so, and this applies to Android phones, you tap on your profile picture in Fitbit app, then tap Fitbit settings and at the bottom tap Health Connect and then turn the syncing on, you can also choose what information you want to share or just choose to share everything that is available. On Google Fit you tap on profile icon (bottom right corner), then tap on the setting button (cogwheel icon on top) and then turn on the option Sync Fitbit with Health Connect. After that, Fitbit will be syncing most of the data to Google Fit. Like steps, workouts, heart rate, sleep  records, heart points, calories, and you can manually add Blood pressure readings by tapping on the + button and then choosing Add blood pressure. Not an ideal solution but a possible workaround.
