Buying a Fitbit in 2025????

I have a charge 5 that has served me well but it starting to randomly crap out during the day. Was thinking of getting a Charge 6 or Versa 4, but it seems like nobody knows what Google is going to do with Fitbit.

Is it still worth getting a Fitbit in 2025? I have an iphone, so a Pixel Watch isn't an alternative. I have an Apple watch, but wear my Fitbit on my other wrist and prefer its simplicity with step counts and that it seems to sync better with my work's wellness program.

@pukalsu1 I think it may be worth it, especially if you can hold off until the Black Friday sales. Even if you can't wait that long, it's possible to find a good price if you shop around a little.

Also, as you know, the app is a big part of your experience with Fitbit. In August Google announced a major redesign of the Fitbit app that will be rolled out in the coming months. (No one knows exactly when.) I would suggest that you do some research on this and see what you think of it.

My counter-question is if you are/were satisfied with your Charge 5?

I have bought my Charge 6 back in 2024, but regretted because of it's general unreliability and also it's inconsistent evaluation of raw data. I have already got a warranty replacement; the same issues. Unfortunately I was over 15 days I could not RMA for money but I would do it anytime.

Functions would be fine for me, if worked reliable.

Thanks for the advice, I will keep it in mind.

The new models look great — battery life and features keep improving every year. While deciding between versions, I checked out the Twin Spin demo to take a short mental break. Fun way to relax before comparing specs again. Curious which one you’re leaning toward!
