On my Charge 6, how do I permanently turn off the display of exercise stats and info so that while I'm in the middle of an activity (like walking), I can simply look down at my Fitbit and see the time? I am fine with tracking all that data, but I usually just want to see the time when I am walking/running, etc.

Hello @wwsailaway and welcome to the Community. I apologize if I misread what you wrote. I looked at your public profile and see that you are a long time Fitbit user. It sounds like you want to track your walks using SmartTrack, the feature that tracks several different activities in the background. You control these in the Fitbit app. The Charge 6 has an Auto-start feature that will turn on the Exercise app and is in these six shortcuts: walk, run, bike, elliptical, rowing, and spinning. This explains why you are seeing stats. Here's how to turn it off. Swipe left/right on your Charge 6 screen and open your Exercise app. Select the Walk shortcut. Swipe up on the "^" to go to the walk settings. Look for Auto-start and toggle it off.
I turned this off in all six of the shortcuts, because Fitbits can misidentify activity.

Hi LZeeW, thank you for this guidance! I just made these changes and look forward to testing it out tomorrow when I'm on the treadmill! Much appreciated!
