Can I use Google Pay with Charge 6?

Can I use Google pay with a Fitbit paired to an iPhone?

Fitbit pay works fine on the 5, but not sure if I should just get another charge 5 if I cant do this on a 6 as I use this frequently.

@SunsetRunner   It doesn't matter which type of phone you use.  Please see this Help article for more details: What should I know about using my Fitbit device to make contactless payments?  The bank list for Google pay is different from the list for Fitbit pay.  There's a link to the Google pay supported bank list in the Help article.  Please make sure your bank is on the list.

I have a Sense 2 and an iPhone.  All the steps are there for me to set it up.

Came back here to answer my own question 🙂

Needed a new Fitbit so went with another discounted 5 after not being bothered about any of the improvements listed for the 6. On setup the Fitbit pay icon in the app appeared, then disappeared while syncing for the first time and got replaced by google wallet so I guess my choice of getting a 5 over a 6 to avoid this particular headache failed lol....

Anyway - have added 2 cards, my main bank "starling" in the UK appear to be confused by the combination of Fitbit/google/iPhone and I've been referred to second line support because when I add the card it wants a 6 digit code that I don't have any way to get..... im not sure if there is a way to go back to Fitbit pay as that worked perfectly, although I suspect google will be killing Fitbit pay ultimately which I can understand.

I think that's normal with Starling now. I used to be able to set up cards with them just texting a code to me, but it seems to have changed a while ago. It now involves giving them a call and they then activate it their end, added security I was told.

It's just a shame that most of the main banks are still not supported even with the change to Google pay. Nationwide for example, which is supported on Google wallet on the phone isn't supported in the watch Google wallet.
