Hello,
Will new Fitbit wearables be able to link heart rate data to Strava?
I really like my Fitbit Inspire and would like to upgrade to a Charge 6 but I want my tracker to be able to report HR data to Strava. Right now I’m wearing another HR tracker on runs so that I can track HR on Strava. Seems silly. Hoping Fitbit will make this happen so I can keep using the products!

It should be possible to use Charge 6 as an external HR sensor for Strava and other mobile apps that connect to HRMs over BLE.

Hello,
When you say ‘it should be possible’ does that mean that I will be able to select my Fitbit device as a HR monitor from the Strava app?

@SlowGuy85 it means that you should be but don't forget it's developed by Fitbit so it may go either way 🤷

This was working well for me with my Charge 6 connecting as a hear rate monitor to Strava on my Pixel 6 phone when I bought it in June 2024 up until mid-August 2024. After that, it only seems to connect to Strava after I pair my fitbit to my phone for the first time. After that it fails to connect again unless I tell my phone to forget the bluetooth connection to the Charge 6 and repair it again.
Not sure why it started doing this. Perhaps the last Charge 6 firmware update (66.20001.210.26) or an update to the Pixel 6 broke it. Too bad because I was really enjoying this feature, and i would think that the Charge 6 and Pixel 6 phone would work together well because they are both owned by Google.
