I had no issues with either of these cards on my Charge 4. I get different errors when trying to add either to my new Charge 6. Super frustrating. I'm tempted to switch back and return the 6.

Have you updated the credit card apps on your phone? It's possible that there's a security feature with the apps that isn't allowing them to be added. That happened with mine.

Actually, it may not be as there can be several contributing factors.

@DramaQueenDiva Thanks for your input. True, many factors play a role.
@danib62 @MrGreen315 Thanks for reaching out about adding cards to your Google Wallet on the Fitbit Charge 6.
I appreciate the explanation. Please note that on the Charge 4 you had Fitbit Pay. Requirements are different for Google Wallet. Make sure that your bank is listed here: Google Wallet Bank List - click here. You can find tips at the bottom of this article: Pay contactless with your Fitbit device

Well then Fitbit need to get their act together because they clearly have no idea either. I shouldn't have to investigate this to figure what's wrong here. I've find everything I can and my bank been very forward about and issues I've brought to them about this issue. Fitbit on the other hand has barely been helpful, so I'm going to just assume it's their fault until they can a prove otherwise as my bank has said on multiple occasions everything is good on their end.

I guess to be fair both Amex and Capital One are missing from that list which is wild because they both support google pay on Android phones and they supported Fitbit pay on older fitbits. Either way I feel like Fitbit should give a better error message when it’s unable to add them.

Just got mine today and yup, same problem. Works in gpay but not fitbit pay. Really disappointed. Hope they fix this.

None of this makes sense. A Google owned product, integrates with Google Wallet, but is not able to support all the same payment cards as Google Wallet on other wearables and Android based phones. Not even mentioning the fact that they are forcing more **ahem** behind Fitbit Premium and choose to integrate only with YouTube music while generic music controls are readily available on all other wearables. Google truly **ahem**ed up here, I'm glad I didn't upgr ade to the Charge 6 as this device is pathetic.

Actually it makes perfect sense. Just because one device or service is supported by Google doesn't mean that Google has clearance for all their devices. Each device has security protocols at the government level that they need to pass before having those services offered.
Even if Google has the clearance to offer the card on their services (like Google Pay), it doesn't mean that the card company has the clearance to offer the card on wearables yet. That also comes from the government. My own card was in this situation and I had to wait for the clearance to be issued.

The government doesn’t have anything to do with this.

Does google/fitbit even read these forums. Seems the amex issue has been around for some time when you go back in the community. Surprised it hasn't been fixed yet. Maybe they are just focusing on the google pixel watches instead but then why make another fitbit device.

Actually, they do read the forums. Anyone that has an icon next to their name like @RodrigoMFitbit is a Fitbit employee. Anyone with an icon like mine is a volunteer.
If you want a more direct response, you need to use the "Contact Us" option at the bottom of the page. There's an option for email, live chat, and phone number.

Ah good to know. Hopefully @RodrigoMFitbit can pass this feedback along and get this addressed. Out of 3 cards that I have in google pay/wallet, only my united chase card was able to be added. I don't even use that card. My amex is my go to.

Uh buddy, don't speak if you have no idea what you're talking about. First of all, Google Wallet is Google Wallet. It's a protocol supported by the bank or not. Banks do not give permission to individual services/devices that integrate Google Wallet. Please remove yourself from the discussion.
