Change autodetected walk from showing steps to showing miles

Is there a way to change the settings so an autodetected walk showing mileage, not steps? I am tracking mileage to get some FitDog titles for my dogs, and steps being shown on the walk are not nearly as useful as showing miles.

Hello @kburrow11

You should see distance in the Fitbit app after completing a walk. If you're not, there's an issue that affects some users where they aren't seeing distance in the Fitbit app. The team is aware of the problem and is working on a fix.

One user doing troubleshooting on the distance tracking issue discovered that they saw distance data in the app after turning off automatic stride length and manually entered a stride length. If you would like to try this workaround to see if that will show your distance in the Fitbit app, this page has the instructions: How to change stride length in the Fitbit app (<-- click link)
