  • Historically, my Fitbit wristband distinguished between my walking, running, biking, weightlifting (pushups), other, etc with different icons for each on my watch.
     
    Further, I noticed that I cannot manually set my fitbit to recognize the type of exercise before beginning.
    Why is that? It was not like that when I first started using the service.
    Anyone know what happened?

First, let's try to adjust the duration required to automatically record an activity. In the Fitbit app, please follow these steps:
