Charge 6 Bluetooth connection

I just got mine today. I just couldn't see any solid connection with my Android. I changed devices and reinstalled the app. The problem persists.

Should we see the solid BT connection just like any other BT devices?

Hi @romitvo1 Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here!

Allow me to help you sync your Charge 6 to your mobile.

It is correct that you should see your Charge in the list of devices currently paired to your phone. However, the way to pair the device must be done from the Fitbit app following the instructions below :

- From the Today tab in the Fitbit app on your phone, tap the devices icon.
- Tap Add more devices.
- Choose your Charge 6 and follow the on-screen instructions to continue.

Remember your mobile must be a compatible device to succeed in this process.

I hope these instructions will be helpful for you !

This is an issue for me. I am literally re-pairing my Charge 6 almost daily. It interferes with my ability to use it as an alarm (I've overslept - now use my phone as a backup). Has Fitbit offered any advice how to fix this issue, as opposed to constantly having to forget and then re-pair (sync) the device? I have an iPhone, but it sounds like this is an issue with any mobile phone, perhaps?

Your Charge 6 should be a trusted BT device and will only connect when needed a connection. This is the way Low Energy Bluetooth works.

@TiBrad56 normally we clear the apps cache if the tracker fails to sync. Restart the fitbit device.and/or phone. If that doesn't fix, we can clear fitbit data, kill the fitbit app,

As for the alarm, this is managed directly on the Charge 6 and doesn't need any communication with the phone. This makes me think a restart of your Charge 6 is needed.

I’ve had problems since last week.   Error msg is ‘can’t find Charge 6’ when going through setup for Bluetooth.  I’ve tried everything to fix it.  Today, a new problem is that my tracker is not recording steps.  I have iPhone 13 + Pro Max

@trailwalker9 not sure what defines everything or what phone that you are on lets try

  • Remove the Charge 6 from your Bluetooth
  • Stop the Fitbit  app
  • Clear the Fitbit cache, better yet, clear the Fitbit data. (Warning: you will have to login)
  • Lets check for Fitbit App updates
  • Restart the Charge 6. Swipe down to Settings and Tapb- Swipe to the Restart and Tap.
  • Restart your phone
  • Run Fitbit and Login.
  • You will have to agree to seversl permission. (Hopefully you have not removed the Charge 6 from your accoint)
  • Thr Charge 6 hopefully will sync
