Hi @Badge1424. Welcome to the community forums.
Thank you for sharing with me the information regarding your steps.
Please confirm if you are using Mobile track. It is a service that allows you to count steps using your phone even if you forget to wear your Fitbit. If that is your case, Mobile track will add the steps recorded by your phone to the Fitbit app. You can "unpair" Mobile Track from your account. On your Fitbit app go to the upper left corner, on the phone and device icon. Click on your phone icon and hoose "Disconnect device".
Then try again to delete the activity and confirm if it was done.
Best Answer@Badge1424 Deleting an exercise only deletes the detailed exercise record. It doesn't delete the data that created it. You must use the data deletion option to remove those steps. Tap on your profile picture in the upper right of your app > Your data in Fitbit > Deletion options > Steps. Unfortunately, you can only delete data in whole days.

Take a look at the Fitbit help site for further assistance and information.
And recording the period as driving does not remove the steps anymore. In the past I've been able to get support to remove the steps.
Anytime I have had false steps, it always has been from Mobile Track.
