Charge 6 ECG option causes watch to turn off

Hi, ever since my membership renewed when I try to start an ECG reading on my Charge 6 it causes the watch to fully switch off (the screen goes immediately blank and unresponsive)and will only turn on again after being placed in the charger. This even happens when it is fully charged. I've tried resetting my watch but it has not solved this issue. Any help would be appreciated.
