Charge 6 ECG tab disappeared from Fitbit App

I just bought a Fitbit Charge 6, because of its capability to do an ECG and to monitor A-fib.
I followed instructions to set up up ECG, but there is no no ECG tile under Health Assessments. Health Assessments has only two tiles (High Heart Rate Notifications and Low Heart Rate Notifications).

I tried:

  • made sure that the location is entered correctly in the profile (and yes, I am in a place that is eligible to use the ECG feature).
  • re-installed the Fitbit app on my phone
  • removed and reinstalled the ECG app from the Charge 6.

All to no avail. The ECG tile never shows up.

I am using a Samsung Galaxy A04, running Android 14 and Samsung One UI 6.1.

Mine has just kicked in. Managed to launch ECG from my watch and open the ECG app, ran a test and worked.

Yep, just checked and it's back, but no history.

Edit: History appears to be back now.

Mine back to. Did an ECG but it does not show in the app.

Now it works. All the historic data is also shown from a few days back. Fitbit power! 🙂

Oh wow, how? I just checked and I have no change in my app. The ecg tile is still gone. Did you update anything (though my app is up to date), or do anything else?

Ok, no change for me yet, but I am hoping soon it will reappear. I also have no response from the support team yet...very curious to see what they will tell me

Aaaaaaaand it is suddenly back. What a mystery. I am glad that people who really need this function can have it in their hands again.

nothing to show because the “view my ECG history “ portion of my app is completely missing suddenly after uninstalling and reinstalling the app yesterday. I have a Charge 6 device.

They're currently working to get this resolved and once I receive more information, I'll make sure to update this thread.

By the way, if you're experiencing issues with the ECG app blank screen on the Fitbit app, check this thread to receive updates.

This afternoon after seeing lots of people getting their ECG tiles back, I restarted my phone and mine is back too, and so far, working, though differently.  When I choose to share the pdf, it doesn't appear to be doing anything.  However the notification tab shows the file ready to download and everything works perfectly.  Many minutes later, I get a msg that my file is ready to download.  I can definitely live with this.

I can confirm the ECG tile is back and working for me now. Just like normal. Thanks to all for helping to get this resolved.

I can confirm my ECG is back too. This is a huge relief, thank you.

All is now well. I have the ECG tile back and once again working. There are quite a few of us users who rely on this function to communicate with our cardiologist on a regular basis. Thanks for the alert.

Did you try restarting your phone?  That did the trick for me.

As noted by many others, the problem resolved today without any interventions on our part. I spent the weekend trying to get it to work and restarted my phone more than twice, restarted my watch a couple of times, exited out of the Fitbit app on the phone and reopened it, deleted the Fitbit app entirely and reinstalled and then howled at the full moon and none of it worked. The problem was fixed when Fitbit staff got back from enjoying their weekend and solved it. It was always a problem on their end, not ours.

Sent from my phone. Please excuse typos and autocorrect errors
