Charge 6 Hear Rate too low

During exercise (stationary bike), my Charge 6 consistently shows my heart rate as being roughly 10 bpm too low as compared to taking it manually (using the carotid and stopwatch).  It often (but not always) becomes much more accurate about 15 to 20 minutes in.  The HR monitor was the main reason I bought it, so this kind of defeats the purpose.

I checked into this several months ago and found some complaints, but no solutions.  Has anyone found a fix for that?

Thanks,

Hawk

@Hawk71   Fitbit recommends moving your Fitbit farther away from your wrist during exercise.  Also, try softening your grip on your hand grips.  A tight grip has more muscle tension and this can cause interference called optical noise.  Optical noise will interfere with accuracy.

Thanks for sending another answer!   I already slide it back away from my wrist during exercise, and since I am using a recumbent stationary bike with desk, that hand is usually not gripping anything, and the other is just moving the mouse. 🤓
