Charge 6 Heart rate too high - 2 year extended warranty

I have been having issues with my Charge 6, it will show my heart rate is in the 200's when I'm just sitting at work (my heart is fine, when I check manually at my wrist my heart rate is normal and I've been to the doctor, they said my heart is great).

I have the 2 year extended warranty, and I'm still covered, how can I return this fitbit and get a new one that works correctly? Who can I contact about this? I've tried the "contact us" 3 times and they just keep telling me to restart it and come back later.

Yes: I am wearing it properly, it's not too tight or too loose, my wrist is clean and dry, the strap is the one it came with, I have tried restarting it, I have tried changing the settings.

Same issue. Fitbit says 212 bpm but I can feel my pulse and it's around 70.  My resting heart rate is 58 and I've never exceeded 150 when exercising.   Kind of irritating.

Hi @Doer23 Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here!

I understand how you may feel with the behavior your Charge 6 is presenting.

If your resting heart rate seem OK but you see your heart rate reading too high at a specific moment, see our help article How do I track heart rate with my Fitbit device? below the section "How do I improve the accuracy of a heart-rate reading?".

A wrong reading may occur in a brief period but it should affect the overall stats just like it is happening with your resting heart rate.

If you see a reading too high for a sustained period, please restart your device if you haven't done so:

  • Swipe down from the clock screen to find the Settings app .
  • Tap the Settings app and then Restart Device and then Restart.

I hope this tips will be helpful. Have a great day!

Several people have mentioned 212 bpm. Is there something in the hr
algorithm that can pick up a false beat frequency at 2 or 3 times these the
actual heart rate?
