Charge 6 Hook & Loop wristband keeps coming undone

Hey all! I bought the Hook & Loop band for my Charge 6 and overall I liked the material and found it more comfortable to wear than the silicon bands. However, one problem I've had with it is that after 3 months of wear the Velcro comes frequently undone on its own and if I'm not mindful my tracker can fall off. I've almost lost my Charge 6 a few times because of this.

Is anyone else having this issue? Does anyone have any recommendations?

Hello @danib62

Although hook & loop materials are very convenient & easy to use, the frequent attaching & removal eventually degrades the material's ability to work.

Since you're already experiencing the materials not sticking together, you should consider replacing the band as soon as possible. If they aren't too expensive, it would be a good idea to get at least 1 backup band so you can switch it out as soon as you start noticing the band doesn't stay attached as well as it used to.

You might want to check out the options with 3rd party bands. There are various material options and they tend to cost less than the official Fitbit bands. When I couldn't get a comfortable fit with the silicone band, I got a 3rd party metal mesh band with a magnetic clasp. This band makes the Charge 5 look a bit nicer and is very easy to adjust. The minor annoyance is the magnetic clasp will occasionally attach to metal objects, like tableware. But it's an inconvenience that I don't mind.

Same. I like the look and feel of it. I've been very careful with it, but I'm experiencing the same problem: the hook and loop keeps detaching, and I'm concerned I'll lose the watch. Additionally, the layers of fabric are pulling apart. Initially, this looked like a pretty good quality product, but it isn't. I switched back to the original silicone today, even though I don't like it, and it doesn't work as well on a very small wrist. I contacted customer support, but they don't have any options for me. I was hoping that maybe they had made some product improvements and could replace it. No luck there. It's really disappointing because otherwise I like everything about the fabric band. Hook and loop has been in use on many different products for decades, including shoes, so I'm really not buying the idea that it should be considered basically a disposable product.
