Hello, @bnfletcher, welcome to the Fitbit Community.

Thanks for letting me know your doubt if a Charge 7 will be released. We don't have any news about this, but I recommend you to be aware of our official store in regards of these news.

@bnfletcher   Fitbit released the Charge 6 in October 2023.  Fitbit tends to release on a two year cycle.  I think it is a little early to expect a new model.

Hello @bnfletcher

You might want to keep a watch on tech news sites, like Android Authority or 9to5 Google, for any word on new Fitbits being released this year. Those sites often get leaks of new Google products before we do.

Fitbit Charge 4 to Charge 5 was one year. But yeah, Charge 5 to Charge 6 was two year. We will definitely get the Charge 7 this year. Just the question is if they will release is in first half of the year or the second half.

Hello @BeardedATM , @hesterandgreg , @Siddu

Since there wasn't any mention of a new Fitbit device at the Made By Google event on 20 Aug 2025, I doubt that the Charge 7 would be released this year.

We'll have to monitor the tech sites to see if anyone leaks hints of a Charge 7 coming out in 2026.

Thank you!
Do you suggest I get a fitbit charge 6?

I have a sense now. I really do not use all the gadgets on it. Only use it
for sleep info and steps. So I am thinking a charge 6 might be enough for
me.

See, my skeptical side reads this and thinks Charge 6 to 7 will be 3 years, if 4 to 5 was 1 and 5 to 6 was two. 😉

Hi @hesterandgreg

Since you want sleep & step tracking, a Charge 6 should work for your needs.

My honest opinion is wait. If you have a sense, just wait a little longer because there should be a Charge 7 soon.

Considering that Google announces their new devices at their Made By Google (MBG) annual event which has already taken place for 2025, I don't expect a Charge 7 would be released for at least a year. The MBG events typically occur in late summer/early fall.

Personally, I don't consider a year as "soon".

I’ve been looking to get a Fitbit charge for the last few weeks, but have held off in the hopes of the charge 7 coming out this year. All sites say ‘sept/ Oct 2025’ (if following the 2 year cycle).

After some digging, I believe that the charge 6 was released on a whim via a web post by google (28th September 2023), so wasn’t part of their main event (I could be wrong so let me know if anyone has better info). There is still hope for it this year, if there’s no news by say mid October, I’ll just go for the charge 6.

Hello @Chrismon123

If there was going to be a Charge 7 released this year, it would have been announced at the Made By Google (MBG) event on 20 Aug 2025. All the new Google devices to be released for the year are announced at the MBG event.

There were no new Fitbit devices announced this year. The only Fitbit related announcement at the 2025 MBG was the updated Fitbit app with AI Coach integration.
