I've been trying to connect to Google maps for a few minutes now and it is not working for me. If anyone has a yourube video or something it would be greatly appreciated.

As a first step I recommend you to confirm if you have currently the latest update available on your device like it is indicated in the following article: Update your Fitbit device.
