Hi! I have been using a Charge 6 for the last week and it worked perfectly fine until 2 days ago, but for the last 2 nights it has not recorded sleep phases or shown a sleep score. I know this happened to many but did not really find a solution. I tried reset and app update.
Has everyone actually solved this problem? My way of wearing it is always the same and it worked for the first few nights.
Any ideas?
Thanks a lot!

Hi!
Honestly I found a YT video yesterday and their hack worked.
They suggest that you 1. Wear your device a little higher up on your wrist (I used to wear it closer to my hand) 2. Sync it in the Fitbit app right before going to bed. So basically just remember to pull down the "today" dashboard in the app to sync the device before your sleep starts. I tried this last night and it worked for me.
Let me know if this helps!
As regards the HR, you should be able to see a green light right below the device -tha part that touches your forearm - for the HR option to work.
I hope this helps, let me know:)

Hello @Ashwell
If your Charge 6 isn't tracking your heart rate, you won't get sleep data. The heart rate sensor (green light on the back) is needed for sleep data.
The first place to check is the Settings tile on the Charge 6 and confirm that Heart rate is turned on:

I've had my Charge 6 for almost a year and haven't started wearing my Fitbit any differently. Since January 2, (also happened on December 31) there has been no sleep score. I have restarted my Fitbit, made sure the app was up-to-date) and it has not resolved the issue. When will there be an APP update to resolve this issue? I don't for a minute thing it has anything to do with something I am doing incorrectly.

Same issue. Purchased in December 2024; activated device 20 Dec 2024; sleep stages, scores and benchmarks worked until 31 December; now no scores, no stages , no benchmarks, AND the actual hours slept isn’t shown accurately (i.e. 2 1/2 hours of 8 hours actually slept). Software glitch???

Dlanders80, I have been on with their support twice now. Each time they have had me check to make sure everything is set up correctly. It's frustrating because I've had a Fitbit for 7 years, and the Charge 6 for almost one year. It's only been the last week or so that it's not working as it has in the past. There's no way I'm sleeping any differently, and I have made no changes to any settings (other than what they have had me do today (change the sensitivity to sensitive and switched the wrist setting to my non-dominant hand. Even though I'm still wearing it on my dominant one. We'll see if those two changes make any difference tonight, but I'm not holding my breath.Yesterday they had me make sure the green light was on, on the back of the watch, and that I was wearing it in the proper place. Like I said, I haven't done anything different in the way I'm using or wearing my watch. Like you, I feel there's a software glitch and eventually their engineers will figure it out and there will be an update to the app.

I am having the same problem. I've been wearing a Fitbit Charge since the first device released. Went from that to a Charge 2, then a Charge 4, and now a Charge 6. The 6 is not providing sleep stages even though I'm doing everything the same as I have been for all these years, and I have run through all of the troubleshooting options a number of times.

FWIW, after complaining for two days straight that it had to be an issue with the app, miraculously low and behold, there was an update and the sleep score was back again for two nights since the update.

See if your app has a pending update. Mine finally did and guess what, the sleep score is back. See if you have version 4.34

I also have problems with the sleep registration. How do I check which version I have on the app??

If you're using an iphone, go to the app store and search for Fitbit. When you click on it, it'll show the version under "What's New"

Hello @CatherineSweden
Are you also having issues with heart rate tracking? Do you see a green light on the back of your Charge 6? That's the heart rate sensor and is needed for sleep tracking. To check, place your finger across the back of the device. You should the green light when you lift your finger.
If you don't see the green light, the first thing to check is that Heart rate is turned on in the Settings tile of the Charge 6
