Charge 6 - Too high HR during excercise

  • Lately my Charge 6 has started showing way too high a HR at times during exercise, especially when I run down hill. It has show more than 190 BPM. I have checked the puls by feeling the carotid artery and the heart rate by holding a hand over the ictus cordis, and the real HR has been around 120. I have reset my tracker without effect. Any suggestions?

I appreciate your message, and I'm sorry to hear your Charge 6 has started showing way too high heart rate. 

Thank you for your troubleshooting efforts. 

Regarding the heart-rate reading, could you please verify the advices shown in the following help article ? How do I improve the accuracy of a heart-rate reading?

Hi! I'm wearing the device as recomended. I have had a variety of Fitbits for more than 8 years and the Charge 6 for approximately 1. This problem has only occured in the past 2-3 weeks, and I haven't done anything different from before.
