Charge 6 – Unable to complete the update

Hi everyone, I searched the community but couldn’t find a clear answer to this specific issue.

When I open the Fitbit app and go to DevicesCharge 6, at the very top I see “Update Tracker Software”, but the option is greyed out and not clickable. Because the option is visible, it looks like an update should be available, but I can’t tap it at all. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

My Fitbit app is updated to the latest version, both my location and bluetooth are turned on.

I'm sorry to hear that your Fitbit app doesn't let you complete the update. 

In this case, please follow the steps below: 

  1. Go to your Fitbit app
  2. Tap the icon in the left upper corner. 
  3. Sync
  4. Verify if the update messagge let you complete the update. 

If you are unable to update after syncing and you have an Android phone, please uninstall and reinstall the app.
