Got my Charge 6 a week or so ago. Fully charged up yesterday evening but totally unresponsive this morning. Green light is on on back but screen is blank, no vibrations from buttons. I’ve tried connecting to power and pressing button 3 times but nothing happening at all. Fitbit app can’t connect. Heart rate monitor shows it worked for about 2 hours after taking off charge but then no data after that for anything.

Hi @BarnabyDog.
I would recommend attempting to try the restart procedure a few times more. It can be a little tricky with the timing of the button presses. Each press should be held down for about 1 second each with the whole process being within 8 seconds.
If you still have no success then I think your only option will be to contact customer support (here).

Hi, this will not be much help but I had a similar issue, screen went blank and phone would not sync, I did not have the green light but the watch would vibrate when plugged into charger and when pushing the button, I tried the restart hundreds of times but nothing...
I contacted the support team and I have sent it back hoping for a replacement, contact them and they are very good and will hopefully help sort it out quickly. I just hope this is not an on going thing with the device once I get a replacement.

UPDATE: I couldn't get any response from the Charge 6 using the suggested methods (this is not helped by the fact the button on the USB doesn't click or give any other indication it's been pressed making it hard to be sure you've pressed it 3 times for a second each time!) so I left it overnight thinking I'd contact support in the week. By the morning the green light had gone out so I connected it to the charger and it started working again (albeit with a very low battery) so it seems that a reboot of the watch was needed (in this case by running the battery down) but it is odd that it went from 100% to 0% battery in just over 24 hours so I guess it must have been doing something.
I'll keep an eye on it and see what happens.

This happened to my Charge 5, disappointed that it's still an issue with the Charge 6.

I had a similar issue. I bought my Charge 6 TWO days ago. It worked fine and then this morning it was dead and completely unresponsive. No green lights just dead. Attaching it to the charger, pressing buttons, nothing helped. What's going on Fitbit? I've been a long time fan but more crappy products like this and I'm finally switching for good.

It’s definitely ongoing. Bought mine December 26th 2023. Today is January 2nd and I’ve already experienced the same thing 3 times. Luckily my combined pushing the button the usb and plug and unplug multiple times had worked thus far. However I lose data over the time period it doesn’t work. Frustrated.

Writing to this thread to let it be known that I also have this issue. Have had the Charge 6 for ~ 1.5 months and this morning the screen is unresponsive.

Earlier this month I commented above. After much research within this community, I found the Charge 6 obviously has an ongoing issue with shutting down/off for no reason whatsoever. Not only is there an issue but the only fix I could ever find documented by other users is FitBit offering a new Charge 6 to replace the one with the issue. WHY WOULD ANYONE WANT A DEVICE THAT BLANTLY DOES NOT WORK CORRECTLY?? Within the first 14 days of using mine, I had this issue 4 times. FOUR times. I immediately called FitBit and was given the option to have it replaced. I have since returned it for a full refund. I realize some people in the community have had theirs longer than I did. But I encourage you to just return it. Personally, if I pay over $100 for something it should work. It is obviously a flaw in the product. I don't need the stress. Sharing so others will know I took the time to research. Don't waste your time. FitBit knows. They don't care obviously. Don't waste your money. Just my thoughts/opinon.

Another update. After a day it randomly gave signs of life and is working again. It was left off charger for 24 hours then it allowed me to recharge. This was fortunate, because I was going to send it back today haha. Other than this issue I really do enjoy this device. 👍

Happened to me last night, after about 1.5 years. Tried reset button, updating firmware, reset button again, then disconnected from phone. In the morning it was fine. I wised up and didn't call support. In Jan. 2024 my Charge 5 came back alive after a month, when I tried charging it before taking it to recycle. But because Google gave me 50% off on the new Charge 6 (Charge 5 6 months out of warranty, of course), the Charge 5 was deactivated and couldn't be used. Such a waste. I haven't gotten more than 1.4 years out of any Fitbit.

Yeah, I'm on Charge 6 #2 now. The first one ended up dying after about 1.5 years. Still enjoy the device. Hope they iron this out for the Charge 7.
