Charge 6 - Walk and GPS

Why won’t charge 6 connect to my phone when I choose the activity walk. All my others Fitbit charge did that and made me a nice map.  If I choose run or bike it functions .???? 
I am very disappointed with charge 6. Karen D

After you choose 'Walk', swipe up to see the options, and select GPS.  Maybe GPS was selected by default on your other devices.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
