So I bought a Charge 6 upgrade from the 5 a few weeks ago and within a day I had lost the watch somewhere because the band just popped off. After a desperate search I decided to just buy another one and instant regret sunk in when within 20 minutes of wearing it the band just popped off when I brushed against my bed frame. Thankfully I noticed it and put it back on, but I've noticed over the past few weeks the band constantly just pops off with the slightest but of awkward pressure. I'm a mechanic, so I'm using my hands all day, and I've NEVER had this problem with any other fitbit over almost a decade. I'm constantly checking my wrist making sure it hasn't just decided to leap off... and it's becoming irritating. It makes me just not want to wear a fitbit anymore.
I'm gonna ask here if anyone (or if FITBIT themselves, god forbid) have a solution for this? Honestly if it pops off one more time I'm just gonna buy a different brand watch I hate having to be paranoid about it all day. I wasted $180 once because of this obvious design flaw and I feel like I should just consider the other $180 wasted because it's inevitably going to fall off somewhere I'll lose it again.
I've tried several different bands from different brands because the ones they send with it are trash. All of them pop off just as easy.

Similar issue. First 6 shut down within weeks of purchase and wouldn't restart so they sent me a replacement and bands won't stay on. Since this is a replacement, I can't get another ... nor do I really want one. Super disappointing!

So I have tried multiple ways to address this issue with Fitbit support. They only seem to have one option which is keep replacing until they get lucky. I'm on my 3rd Charge 6 and 4 bands with all of them having the same issue of randomly popping off and hitting the floor. I've just been luck so far I've found it right when it happened and have been staring still.
With regard to the replacements, they said that when you get a new device the system automatically bricks the previous device. So if one works better than the new one, tough luck. Going back is not an option. So if you replace, try it first before activating and syncing it to your phone. I hope this helps.
So I did a review on TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@btwguy/video/7383364469386120494?_t=8nPtQkjGffC&_r=1

Have you tried different bands. I got mine on the 12 of may. The original band came off on the second third day. I had another one ordered as the first band caused irritation. Since then I have ordered 2 other after market third party bands so have the original and 3 third party (well 7 actually as 2 types come in a 3 pack). I have found 2 types of aftermarket bands work 1 after market band was worst than the original . My current band I got on Wednesday has not come off yet. Just watched your video my current band that has not come off yet look like the one on your tiktok that you refer to as the sports band. I have one that looks very similar to this that has been working fine since Wednesday

Well it finally happened. It popped off again and I was unable to locate it this time. Thanks Fitbit!

Yea the original band irritates my skin. All other aftermarket bands i bought for my charge 4 have always been perfect. The charge 6 just do not fit it would be great if Fitbit has a better band selection for women.

same problem with my brand new charger 6. Has anyone figured out an easy solution? This is not workable for me. It falls off when I swing my arm even

I completely concur. I also had problems with the bands causing skin issues and purchased another band that worked perfectly with the charge five. But it does not seem to work at all with the charge six. It falls off constantly

I have the same issue and went thru 3 replacements only to find they all have the exact same issue. So my nice bands are out and I had to go to a crappy but functional band that someone else also recommended in this community. Here it is: https://a.co/d/0fLXYcKD

Some people on this post have offered suggestions, but none of them work for me. I heard the little click I did everything I was supposed to do and it still popped off. I'm done with fitbit. I just ordered a Samsung Galaxy watch. It's atrocious that Fitbit knows about this problem and did not resolve it. I'm not giving them another dime

I had a Fitbit for many years but never had a problem with my band releasing on it own until my Fitbit 5. My 5 came off many times but I always found it until last week and it’s gone. I had glued the band on with metal glue and it worked for many months without coming off until I lost it last week. So I bought a charge 6 and had it three days now and the band released about five times so far. I woke up this morning and it was laying in bet beside me. The problem is the release button is sticking up so far that just twisting your wrist sometimes will release the band. So today I got a razor knife and cut the release button down even with the watch. Hope it works. I have to believe that after many people having this problem Fitbit has to know about the problem but making a lot of money selling you a second Fitbit. It may even be that their engineers came up with this so they could sale more Fitbits. After many years the problem should have been resolved.

That hasn't worked for me, but will try it again. I did buy a band that has six bracelet type strands on it with only two of them connected to the pebble. It also has a fastener rather than stretchy band, so I don't think it will fall off completely. I've tried everything with the other bands I bought and they fall off at the slightest little touch. I'm lucky that I have noticed every time it fell to the ground. Here's a link to that band on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B3DG8W9L?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1
A little gaudy for exercise class, but it does stay on!

I’m SO done with Fitbit, time to move on to Garmin. I’ve used Fitbit through charge 2, 5 and now the charge 6. The band I used on my charge 5 (for 2 years), NEVER once came off. I put the same band on my charge 6, it falls off frequently. I’ve almost lost it several times. This last time, while on vacation, it came off and hit a tiled floor cracking the face. It’s less than a year old.
I just got back from vacation last night and started researching the issue. It became quickly apparent I’m not the only one having this problem, so I called customer service. After talking with a guy who didn’t speak great English, couldn’t type in my email correctly ( after I spelled it slowly), he finally found my account. He put me on hold a third time and came back and said he’d send me new bands. Really, the band isn’t the issue, the Fitbit has a clip issue. I told him I didn’t want his new bands ( their bands make my wrist breakout, which is why I bought my metal band with the charge 5).
It takes a lot to get me mad, but now I’m furious. So much for being a loyal customer and paying for premium services. If they didn’t change the design, then it’s called a manufacturing flaw. Quality control must be a thing of the past.
