So I bought a Charge 6 upgrade from the 5 a few weeks ago and within a day I had lost the watch somewhere because the band just popped off. After a desperate search I decided to just buy another one and instant regret sunk in when within 20 minutes of wearing it the band just popped off when I brushed against my bed frame. Thankfully I noticed it and put it back on, but I've noticed over the past few weeks the band constantly just pops off with the slightest but of awkward pressure. I'm a mechanic, so I'm using my hands all day, and I've NEVER had this problem with any other fitbit over almost a decade. I'm constantly checking my wrist making sure it hasn't just decided to leap off... and it's becoming irritating. It makes me just not want to wear a fitbit anymore.
I'm gonna ask here if anyone (or if FITBIT themselves, god forbid) have a solution for this? Honestly if it pops off one more time I'm just gonna buy a different brand watch I hate having to be paranoid about it all day. I wasted $180 once because of this obvious design flaw and I feel like I should just consider the other $180 wasted because it's inevitably going to fall off somewhere I'll lose it again.
I've tried several different bands from different brands because the ones they send with it are trash. All of them pop off just as easy.

I found that if you take a file (I used a fingernail file) and file down the tab that releases the band off the watch, the band pops off less. It doesn't completely fix the problem, but it pops off less than it did.
---
I am sure the answer to these questions is yes. It's a malfunction on the watch where the band connects. The tab hits on the wrist when the wrist moves to a certain point causing the tab to release the band, causing the loss of the watch unless you catch it before you lose it.

I tried that and it clicked on the end with the fitbit logo, but not on the other. I am waiting to see if it stays put. Here's hoping. Thanks for your comment.

It’s not you, it’s a crappy design and they need to fix it but apparently they really don’t care.

breaks—then I’d have to get a new Fitbit.
Why can’t Google just fix the problem?

Update: band only stayed put about 4 minutes. I pulled off a shirt, and as it passed the band... Down it went!
Fitbit!!! Fix this, please...

As far as I'm concerned it is clearly a design flaw by fitbit. I hear it click, and it still falls off when your arm touches the sensor. This is my 5th fitbit and may be my last.

I have had my Charge 6 for less than 4 weeks and my watch has 'pinged' off the strap and is now lost. I am gutted. I have owned fitbit's for 6 years and I never ever had a problem with my Charge 5. I contacted Customer Services as it appears this is a common problem.
