Charge 6 bands constantly popping off!

So I bought a Charge 6 upgrade from the 5 a few weeks ago and within a day I had lost the watch somewhere because the band just popped off.  After a desperate search I decided to just buy another one and instant regret sunk in when within 20 minutes of wearing it the band just popped off when I brushed against my bed frame.  Thankfully I noticed it and put it back on, but I've noticed over the past few weeks the band constantly just pops off with the slightest but of awkward pressure.  I'm a mechanic, so I'm using my hands all day, and I've NEVER had this problem with any other fitbit over almost a decade.  I'm constantly checking my wrist making sure it hasn't just decided to leap off...  and it's becoming irritating.  It makes me just not want to wear a fitbit anymore.

I'm gonna ask here if anyone (or if FITBIT themselves, god forbid) have a solution for this?  Honestly if it pops off one more time I'm just gonna buy a different brand watch I hate having to be paranoid about it all day.  I wasted $180 once because of this obvious design flaw and I feel like I should just consider the other $180 wasted because it's inevitably going to fall off somewhere I'll lose it again.

I've tried several different bands from different brands because the ones they send with it are trash. All of them pop off just as easy.

That did help with the fitbit band but not with 3rd party. I can't wear the silicone band.

I used the suggested method of pressing the release toggle and putting in
my third party band until it clicked and it worked for me. But just
pushing in the 3rd party band until it clicked without simultaneously
pushing the release toggle did not work (I’d hear a click but could just
easily pull out the band afterward). Like you I don’t like the band the
Fitbit 6 comes with which I find uncomfortable and clunky. It may well be
that there is some variation between different Fitbit 6s and/or different
3rd party bands. It’s very frustrating!

There are fabric and leather bands available from Fitbit.

For me the frustration was I had a charge 5 and the same band I’m using today, never once came off. My charge 5 quit holding a charge, so I purchased a 6. It would release 2-3 times a day. Even did the hold the button down and click it in.

Customer service said there was no design change, so that makes it a manufacturing defect. If I hadn’t used the band on my 5 without any issues, it would be different. I appreciate all the responses you all have given. I thought it was just me!

Are you able to take it into a Fitbit retailer and ask them to check if the
band is correctly fitted?

It will continue to come off unless you cut the release buttons down even with the watch.

I have not cut the release buttons down and the band has always remained
attached.

If you cut the release buttons you are altering the product and at risk of
canceling any guarantee or warrantee.

Definitely a flaw, but I'm on my 2nd Fitbit for the same reason and it's doing the same thing.

I have this same issue.  Seems to be a random defect based on what I've read.  Does anyone from Google actually monitor these forums?  These are 7k views here and no official response or solution.

I didn't opt for the insurance so it's my problem now. The battery is also
an issue.

So, I tried a different band and it worked. Here's the link of the one that I got that fits. I say try different one. I've had this for a couple of weeks and it hasn't popped off once. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0D14R7N57/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A8ODK2HM8PENF&psc=1

I have to click the little tab on the watch face to lock it in place. It took me a few days to figure that out.

Did your Fitbit come with an instruction pamphlet?

Yes, it did.

Obvious then the instructions were not followed. Maybe because they were
not clearly described?

I wasn’t the one who posted the issue. I replied with a solution. did you just reply to be rude?

No, I was not trying to be rude. I’m just frustrated with fidbit. Sorry if you took it that way. It wasn’t intended to be rude.

I followed the instructions, it’s still popping off (twice today). I used this same band on my charge 5 and it never fell off until I took it off to put on my charge 6.

The charge 5 band doesn't fit the charge 6, they are different bands, that's
why it keeps popping off. I have about 50 charge 5 bands that are now
garbage since i got my charge 6....
