Charge 6 bands constantly popping off!

So I bought a Charge 6 upgrade from the 5 a few weeks ago and within a day I had lost the watch somewhere because the band just popped off.  After a desperate search I decided to just buy another one and instant regret sunk in when within 20 minutes of wearing it the band just popped off when I brushed against my bed frame.  Thankfully I noticed it and put it back on, but I've noticed over the past few weeks the band constantly just pops off with the slightest but of awkward pressure.  I'm a mechanic, so I'm using my hands all day, and I've NEVER had this problem with any other fitbit over almost a decade.  I'm constantly checking my wrist making sure it hasn't just decided to leap off...  and it's becoming irritating.  It makes me just not want to wear a fitbit anymore.

I'm gonna ask here if anyone (or if FITBIT themselves, god forbid) have a solution for this?  Honestly if it pops off one more time I'm just gonna buy a different brand watch I hate having to be paranoid about it all day.  I wasted $180 once because of this obvious design flaw and I feel like I should just consider the other $180 wasted because it's inevitably going to fall off somewhere I'll lose it again.

I've tried several different bands from different brands because the ones they send with it are trash. All of them pop off just as easy.

You must of misunderstood what I wrote. I only used the band that came with the Charge 6.

Thank you so much for your answer. I had suspected they changed something, although when you place them side by side they appear to be the same.

When I called Fidbit customer service I asked if anything had changed in the design or case, from the charge 5 to the charge 6, they told me “no”….. thus my frustration trying to figure out why this was happening. Now I know the rest of the story.

What colour was your original band?

Original band is black. My band has never come off again after I cut the release buttons down even with the watch. They just stick out so far that when turn or twist your wrist you release the band.

Don’t know if they call it light grey or crème colored. The band that comes with it makes my wrist itch, which is why I thought I’d just go back to the one I had for my 5.

I still have my Charge 4, and it works, it's just where the band attaches
broke off. I did glue that and it works fine. I think I will sell the 6.

I had the same problem until yesterday and now it is gone. I just got it on June 29,2024 and actually just started wearing it 2 weeks ago. I bought one about 7 months ago and was using it. My insurance allowed me to get a new one. I waited until I sold the one I bought for less than half of what I paid for it to wear the new one. NowI have none. Have been wearing Fitbit since 2013. The first one occasionally fell off so I bought clip case for it and used it that way. Wore it that way until it died . Bought another one and wore it the same way. Updated and now I have none. I am requesting a replacement for defective product but we will see. I am on fixed income at the age of 71 so spending money on another isn't possible. Husband and granddaughter wear apple watches with no problem.

I have my new charge 6 band pop off as well.   the long band piece kept disconnecting.   I tried several times to reconnect it.  Finally while the fitbit was off my wrist, I kept connecting the pieces together and apply a little pressure until the last time it clicked in and it was snug. It has not popped off in over 6 days.  Just my experience.......

I bought the Charge 6 in May along with 2 different metal bands so I don't have to wear the black band all the time. The metal bands constantly disconnect. I returned them to Amazon and purchased more bands--different brands from the first--and they disconnect as well.  I'm convinced it's a design flaw. I had a Versa for years and never had any issues with the bands but wanted a smaller base. Extremely disappointing!

Company said no to replacement...After having 4 or 5 ,I say no more Fitbits for me. I purchased a pedometer.

Mine does the same thing 🤬🤬🤬🤬 I even returned the first one and repurchased another and does the same thing, I prefer the sport band and the sport bands were bought directly from Fitbit in both black & white and now I have a charge 6 I can’t wear and 2 extra bands that pop off:double_exclamation_mark:

I upgraded from a Charge 5 to 6 after the 5 took a ride in the washing machine.

I don't like the band which comes with Fitbit. The fake leather seems to lead to a rash when I sweat.

So I purchased an off-brand on Amazon for the Charge 5. Worked great. Did the same for the Charge 6 and it is constantly popping out of the bottom side of the display.

And what is weird, is if I manually try to pull it out. It's really tough to do.

I really have not liked the Charge 6 -- Zone minutes are inconsisten in how you can accumulate them. I have learned if you swing your watch arm while walking at a fast pace you will earn them. If you don't swing your arms, you probably won't. I will probably move on to a different brand from here after being with Fitbit since the Zip back in the early days. Product seems to have taken a down turn unless you buy one of the really expensive versions.

I understand! The ugly plastic bands that hold the pebble in a pocket are
great, just not very stylish. My display never seems to have all the same
features - even mysteriously showed how to locate my phone one day, can't
find that now and has features I don't need or understand. I always liked
being able to see the app on my desktop - larger type for us old folks! I,
too, will be looking for a different brand. EBay is a good source. I
understand there are risks with that but I've been lucky.
