So I bought a Charge 6 upgrade from the 5 a few weeks ago and within a day I had lost the watch somewhere because the band just popped off. After a desperate search I decided to just buy another one and instant regret sunk in when within 20 minutes of wearing it the band just popped off when I brushed against my bed frame. Thankfully I noticed it and put it back on, but I've noticed over the past few weeks the band constantly just pops off with the slightest but of awkward pressure. I'm a mechanic, so I'm using my hands all day, and I've NEVER had this problem with any other fitbit over almost a decade. I'm constantly checking my wrist making sure it hasn't just decided to leap off... and it's becoming irritating. It makes me just not want to wear a fitbit anymore.
I'm gonna ask here if anyone (or if FITBIT themselves, god forbid) have a solution for this? Honestly if it pops off one more time I'm just gonna buy a different brand watch I hate having to be paranoid about it all day. I wasted $180 once because of this obvious design flaw and I feel like I should just consider the other $180 wasted because it's inevitably going to fall off somewhere I'll lose it again.
I've tried several different bands from different brands because the ones they send with it are trash. All of them pop off just as easy.

Thanks so much!! Had zero help at Noel Leeming where I purchased the charge 6 watch. All sorted with latch now.

I had the same problem and got the same advice from Fitbit. It works for some of my bands but not for others. I have a mesh metal band that worked for a long time (1 year) and then started popping off. I think it is a flaw in the design of the latches on the tracker itself.

I wedged the small end of toothpicks in the gap between the latch and the band. Broke the end pieces with pliers after removing the small tip and after starting it in place with my fingers to be sure it would fit, forced each one down with a small narrow blade screwdriver.

I filed the tab off you use to pushed down to take the band off, but after a few weeks, it started popping off again. When I hit my wrist in that spot where the band was connected it would come off. I finally got tired of it popping off, so I superglued it on to the watch. I can still change the watch band because it has a spring pin that holds the band onto the part that attaches to the watch, so if I need to change the band, I just take the pin out and replace the band. Problem solved!

I had the same issue with the band irritating my wrist so I bought a fabric one and it keeps popping off. Plastic one that came with it did not pop off. So frustrating. I have to keep it in my pocket when I work.

The original band that came with mine did not pop off but irritated my skin so I purchased a fabric one from a different company. It pops off constantly. I have to keep it in my pocket when I work. It still picks up heart rate and steps at least. It does stay on when I sleep, which is crazy, since I toss and turn, and at work it moves too but comes unclipped with very little movement.

Yes, for the last few weeks I've been noticing the same thing. I was gifted the Charge 6 for Christmas, (an upgrade from the Charge 5) and was thrilled to see the bands were interchangeable. I rarely change my bands. And I did get purchase a new leather like one that buckles. All as been fine up to a few weeks ago, With the slightest turn of my wrist. Its always the top latch that pops off. And I don't hear or feel a click/snap when attaching like on the other end.
I'm tempted to go back to my old 5, then remember I was having issues with the battery and shutting down when there's still plenty of charge.
I'm not sure what to do, I do really like the Fitbit watch. But I starting to question why?
